Royal LePage is the largest 100% Canadian owned, national full-service real estate brokerage business with 10,700 realtors in over 600 locations coast to coast.
Royal LePage has been providing real estate services since 1913, when 26-year old Albert Edward (Eddie) LePage first entered the business. From the beginning, Mr. LePage was an innovator, pioneering the practice of showing his clients properties in his own car, and placing descriptive newspaper ads as a marketing tool. He went on to become president of the Toronto Real Estate Board and helped to found both the Ontario Association of Real Estate Boards and the Canadian Association of Real Estate Boards. Mr. LePage retired in 1953.

In the 1970’s the firm expanded nationally into Western Canada and Quebec, adding new services such as shopping center consulting, property management and leasing. In 1984 A. E. LePage merged with the real estate operations of Royal Trust, creating the new firm of Royal LePage Limited, which went public in July of 1987. In April of 1999 the firm was privatized, along with Royal LePage Residential services and Royal LePage Relocations, becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of Trilon Financial Corporation. Trilon is in turn, part of the Brascan Corporation.
Our parent company, Brascan Corporation, is a major Canadian public company involved in many aspects of the real estate market in Canada and internationally.
Of course, at Royal LePage, we are not just about business. From the beginning we’ve also been actively involved in charitable and social causes, because we believe in giving back to the community. After all, we don’t just work here, we live here too!!
Setting the Industry Standard: For those who define success by recognition, you should know that Royal LePage is the recognized industry leader when it comes to identifying and analyzing Canadian real estate trends.
